What are the problems involved in the production and marketing of software?

There are a billion hackers having fun dissecting it and giving it away for free.
And 45% of "normal" people who buy it, will be very nice and will ask for their money back so they get the software AND their money back.

So the best way would be to give it away for free and devise a way to get money just the same.
It can be done.
The main thing is to find a software that is needed. Most people first build the software and then try to find a market for it, well, they are doing it the wrong way round.
I personally find it better to get software custom made for me and me only and then I get to use it and make lots of money out of it and I ain’t pushing it to anyone it isn’t even for sale nor I mention what it does icon smile What are the problems involved in the production and marketing of software?
